Where can I park in Bellagio?

Our B&B offers free private parking for guests. In town you'll find public car parks: Villa Melzi (at the Viale Domenico Vitali junction), Via Pescallo (a new car park with plenty of spaces) and San Giovanni (near the park). Watch out for the ZTL (limited-traffic zone): a RED illuminated gate means DO NOT ENTER. Road lines: white = free, blue = paid, yellow = residents only (risk of fine/towing).

Where do ferries to Varenna, Menaggio and Como depart from?

Ferries depart from Bellagio's main pier in Piazza Mazzini. They regularly connect Varenna, Menaggio, Tremezzo, Lenno and Como. Car ferries operate between the three central shores of the lake.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in from 4:00 PM onwards with self check-in: you can let yourself in whenever you like (there is no 24h reception). Check-out by 10:30 AM. If you arrive from 4:00 PM onwards there's no need to let us know.

Under Italian and European law (Schengen area) every guest must show a valid ID. EU citizens: a valid identity card (for travel abroad), a passport or a driving licence. Non-EU citizens: a passport (with visa if required). Residence permits, and a driving licence for non-EU citizens, are not accepted. Without a valid document we cannot complete check-in: we are required to report guest details to the authorities within 24 hours of arrival (Art. 109 T.U.L.P.S.; EU Reg. 2016/399 — Schengen Borders Code).

The B&B is about 3 km from Bellagio centre: roughly a 30-minute walk or a 3-minute drive. A pleasant walk, though at times a little demanding.

Yes: Pescallo beach (a few minutes away), the equipped Lido of Bellagio, and the free beach in the San Giovanni area, served by the Riverside Beach bar. Clear water and beautiful surroundings.

Milan airports (Malpensa and Linate) and Bergamo Orio al Serio are all about an hour and a half away by car. Alternatively: train to Varenna-Esino + 15-minute ferry to Bellagio.
